Hi, I’m Jennifer, a licensed marriage and family therapist with a deep passion for helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts and Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling, both from Texas State University.

Before becoming a therapist, I was a stay-at-home mom to my five kids. During that time, my family opened our hearts and home to foster care, eventually adopting my youngest two sons. These experiences gave me a profound understanding of family dynamics, attachment, and resilience—insights I now bring to my work as a therapist.

Many of my clients come to me because their children are exhibiting big behaviors they need help understanding and managing. I also work with teens who are struggling with anxiety and depression, providing them with a safe space to process emotions and build coping skills. I work with children as young as 3 years old, incorporating play therapy techniques to help them express themselves and process emotions in a way that feels natural and safe.

I also provide therapy for individual adults and couples, supporting them in navigating personal challenges, improving relationships, and fostering growth. My approach fosters collaboration and strengthens connections, whether working with families, couples, or individuals.

In my practice, I use tools like sandtray therapy, EMDR, and Internal Family Systems therapy to create a safe and empowering space for healing. My work is rooted in relational neuroscience, and I’m passionate about teaching clients how to move from “protection mode” to “connection mode,” unlocking deeper understanding and growth.

Outside of the office, I love spending time with my family and embracing my new role as a grandmother. My personal interests include nature, arts and crafts, exploring holistic healing methods, and staying curious about alternative medicine and emerging health research.
